Further this book deals with the following Land Laws of Tamil Nadu, namely :- (1) The Tami Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, (2) The Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants (Payment of Fair Rent) Act, 1956 (3) The Tamil Nadu Agricultural Lands Record of Tenancy Rights Act, 1969 (4) The Tamil Nadu Occupants of Kudiyiruppu (Conferment of Ownership) Act, 1971, (5) The Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961 (6) The Tamil Nadu Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act, 1960, (7) The Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and (8) The Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Harijan Welfare Schemes Act, 1978. Above all suitable case laws quoted and discussed. Further in the year 2013, an Act called Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 was passed. Similarly in the year 2017, the Act known as Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act 2017 was enacted. These two new legislations on the subject, are also incorporated in this book.
