About Enid Blyton Enid Mary Blyton was an English writer known best for her children's novels and stories. She is remembered for her Noddy and The Secret Seven series. A prolific writer, Blyton sometimes produced up to fifty books a year. The language she used was simple and yet it brought out the essence of all that she wanted to convey to impressionable minds. She started her vocation as a teacher in 1918, but her writing career received a boost in 1921 when she won a writing competition and her works began to be published in children’s magazines.
