A Book of Home Plans was prepared and published based on the concept of the facilities required by the people to make a home like home. It is fact that architecture is mother all arts. A properly planned and designed home with architectural composition may be compared with frozen music. About the Author Shri D. N. Ghose born in 1938 is an well-known author. His first book was published in 1956. Three of his books were selected by the Government of West Bengal (1956--60) for Adult Education. In 1972 National Council of Educational Research & Training New Delhi. awarded Certificate of Merit for his manuscript Purano Sei Diner Kathawhich ranked second in 17th All India Childrens Literature Competition. Shri Ghose obtained Bachelor Degree (1963) and Master Degree (1969) in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University. In early 1959 he started his career as a Teacher in Engineering and afterwards held the posts of Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and offg. Principal of Don Bosco Polytechnic. Calcutta. In 1973. Shri Ghose organised Refresher Course on Public Health Engineering in the Institution of Engineers. India and conducted Unitary Summer School on Public Health Engineering under-the sponsorship of India Society for Technical Education. He was also Examiner (1966-72) of various qualifying examinations in the field of Civil Engineering. Shri Ghose as Public Health Engineer (1973-77) of Tata Engineering & Locomitive Company was responsible for operation control and maintenance of water treatment plants. sewage treatment plant and town water supply of TELCO. In early 1977 he joined Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority and visited U.S.A. with a work programme on Computer Analysis of the Water Distribution Network for the City of Calcutta. During his stay in CMDA he was engaged in planning. design and development work on sewerage drainage and solid waste management in CMD area. Presently Shri Ghose is working as a consultant in the field of Environmental Engineering.
