The book is a lovely story of nine-year-old Aria who is a single child and longs to have a pet. One day she meets an adorable Shih Tzu at the park. He bowls her over and wins her heart. Aria wants to take it home, but sadly her daddy detests dogs. Destiny has other plans though. The story takes twists and turns, and how Aria and her dad deal with the whole situation is interesting to read. The plot will keep children interested till the end. A Friend in Need is Loki Indeed is a heart-warming tale of love, friendship and loyalty.
