The book is targeted towards academic as well as practitioner audience. The book is suitable for the first time researcher as he can find basics on how to write a research paper and introduction of econometrics in first part of the book. The process of writing a research paper is dealt with in detail in this part. The subtopics that have been included in this section are; writing conceptual framework; carrying out review of existing literature; working out objectives; selecting methodology; presenting results; supporting results through discussion; and writing references. The book is also suitable for the experienced researchers and practi-tioners as it has enough material that can be used for ready reference by both these groups. Part two of the book contains Eighteen research papers on different topics selected from different functional areas of management or on integration of functional areas and organizations. The research papers are sample papers displaying application of the concepts presented in part one of this book. All the research papers included in this book were prepared during the four days Research Methodology Work Shop organized by Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior during August, 2013. However, preliminary work on identifying suitable topics, developing Conceptual Frame Work and writing Review of Literature was done on all the research papers before the work shop. There are in all eighteen research papers included in this book. These eighteen papers are in the areas of Marketing management (6),Finance Management (4), Human Resource Management (6), General Management (1) and IT (1). We hope that students and researchers will read the book from cover to cover at the outset and keep it on their desks as a helpful companion as they attempt to carry out research for decision making in the organization or for publication.
