A Midsummer Night's Dream is Shakespeare's spectacular romantic comedy which deals with a myriad of thematic thrusts such as love and its difficulties, the ideal of 'eternal happiness' and compatibility between partners in any given relationship. Shakespeare deals effectively with "two realms of being" in this play, namely; the mortal world and the immortal fairy world. The plot is lighthearted and celebrates harmony and bliss with multiple marriages marking the end of the play.
