In his books, Frey makes use of a writing technique called stream of consciousness in which the author expresses his thoughts and feelings by writing it down in words. He would capitalize nouns and repeat several words in order to emphasize the meaning behind what was written. Frey graduated from Denison University in Ohio and currently lives in Los Angeles, California. He works as a director, producer and screenwriter.
