We are happy to acknowledged the receipt of compliments and constructive suggestions from the learned teachers and students all over the country who gave us an opportunity to present twenty fourth revised edition of the book "A textbook of Organic Chemistry for JEE". The book has been acclaimed by all and growing in status ever since its inception. The present book is now divided into two volumes. It is just for the sake of convenience and make the book handy. The complete text has been critically examined and thoroughly updated. There is a growing need for a textbook in organic chemistry that covers JEE (Main & Advanced) and other Competitive Entrance Examinations in a meaningful manner. The composition of this book is designed to excel in JEE (Main & Advanced) as well. Moreover, this book is helpful for aspirants of other entrance examinations like ISAT, VITEEE, BITS, SRMEEE, Manipal, etc. Number of matrix-match type questions, comprehension type questions and single integer answer type questions are increased. The latest questions from various competitive examinations have been incorporated. We do hope that the new revised edition of the book will be more useful to students and learned teachers. Suggestions for further improvement of the book will be gratefully acknowledged.
