Official Flipkart Review Nambisan looks at the heart of India like no other writer. She speaks of rural areas and the problems surrounding them with no qualms and her writing is proof enough of it. Her latest offering is about a small town, with water being polluted to the extent of it turning black and the children of the town sprouting white hair on their heads. The book is narrated by Rajakumari – the retired whore and long-time resident of the town Pingakshipura. There are every day stories of common people that shine through in this book. The writing is fluid and almost smooth to the extent that as a reader, you will merge with it. The book is one of a kind with its different theme and the fate of a town and its residents. About the Author: Kavery Nambisan is a writer and a surgeon. She picked up the pen after starting to practise surgery and has since combined two professions successfully, because she says - she does nothing else.
