This book is the seventeenth in the Jack Reacher series. Jack Reacher manages to hitch a ride and hopes to be on his way to finish some important work in Virginia. However, the people giving him a ride are in trouble and, since he’s travelling with them, Jack Reacher is now involved. Summary of the Book Not many would give a man like Jack Reacher a ride in their vehicle. So, when he is offered a ride by three strangers, he is only glad to take it. There are two men and one woman in the car. As they get chatting, Jack realizes that the men are lying and the woman appears to be very nervous. Things start to make sense when the car is checked by the highway police who are looking for fugitives who killed a man and left in a Mazda. When fingerprints are found in the car, the truth is out. About Lee Child Lee Child is the pen name that Jim Grant goes by. He specializes in thriller novels and his novel Killing Floor won the Anthony Award for Best First Novel.
