The main parts of a typical PG cable gland include: Gland Body: It is the main body of the cable gland, typically made of brass, stainless steel, or plastic. The gland body has a threaded end that allows it to be screwed into a pre-drilled hole in the equipment or enclosure. Locknut: This component is used to secure the cable gland to the equipment or enclosure. It is tightened against the gland body to create a firm connection and prevent the gland from loosening over time. Sealing Washer/O-Ring: The sealing washer or O-ring is placed between the gland body and the equipment or enclosure. It provides a watertight seal, preventing the ingress of liquids or particles. Clamping Insert: The clamping insert is placed inside the gland body and provides a secure grip on the cable. It typically consists of several individual fingers or serrations that hold the cable in place and prevent it from being pulled out.
