This book, Advanced Engineering Mathematics constitutes a reasonable self-contained treatment of ordinary and partial differential equations and their applications. Illustrative examples are consistently set in type of a different size than that used for the main body of the text. The book also covers topics on linear algebra, vector analysis, and the calculus of variations. This edition includes elementary theory and applications of functions of a complex variable. Keeping the presentation detailed and clear the authors have maintained acceptable standards of precision and accuracy. Many new exercises have been added in this edition, and hints are given in many of the exercises; answers to the odd-numbered ones are also included.
