The African Growth and Opportunity Act offers a wide variety of benefits to businesses, workers, manufacturers, and farmers in eligible countries. This new book focuses on the Act's trade preference benefits. The Guide is divided into 10 Chapters. Chapter 2 provides answers to frequently asked questions such as 'how can I determine whether the products I manufacture and want to export could benefit from the Act?'. Other chapters contain information on the specific trade benefits available and on the eligibility criteria that must be met for a country to receive these benefits. Chapter 8 provides a brief summary of other provisions of the Act and Chapter 10 provides a time line of key dates. Information on general US agricultural market access is provided in Chapter 9.
