This research work explores the potential of Assam’s Agricultural sector, which is considered one of India’s leading regions, for crop production. Focusing on Goalpara and Bongaigaon districts the study investigates how agricultural entrepreneurship can address the challenges faced by the state unemployment. By analyzing the demographics, economy and farming structures this research sheds light on how entrepreneurial behaviour among farmers contributes to development. This book demonstrates that networking, integrated farming methods, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) are important factors in promoting entrepreneurship through an analysis of case studies and Survey findings from the Lower Brahmaputra Valley. The findings, aligned with McElwees competency framework emphasize the importance of skills like market knowledge and organizational abilities well as social connections and exposure through mass media. Overall this study not uncovers variations in entrepreneurial approaches, across different districts but also underscores how agricultural entrepreneurship is closely linked to farmers living conditions. It draws attention to the part that government organizations play in encouraging rural development.
