In Alvin Ho: Allergic to Dead Bodies, Funerals, and Other Fatal Circumstances the author explores the subject of death from a child’s perspective in a humorous way. Summary Alvin Ho is basically a scared little second grader, who is afraid of most things in his life from homework to attending funerals. When he finds out that his Grandpa’s (GungGung) best friend Charlie has died, he offers to accompany his Grandpa to the funeral. Alvin has never been to a funeral before and is terrified by the very idea of it. But since he has already promised his Grandpa he decides to keep his word and face the situation like a man! However, if this was not enough, his classmates in school make Alvin all the more scared and paranoid about the situation by telling him creepy things about funerals.
