An Idealist View Of Life is a collection of the Hibbert lectures on the ideals of life presented by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, one of the most prolific scholars of India and a premier statesman. Summary of the Book In An Idealist View of Life, Dr. Radhakrishnan discusses his views on science, religion, evolution and life. In this treatise, Radhakrishnan explores all aspects of the modern debate on science against religion and the futile attempts by man to find a substitute for religion. About Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was the first Vice-President of India and the second President of India. He was a well-known scholar of comparative religion and philosophy, holding the King George V Chair of Mental and Moral Science at the University of Calcutta and Spalding Professor of Eastern Religion and Ethics at University of Oxford. He has authored several books including Indian Philosophy, The Hindu View of Life, Religion and Society, and Recovery of Faith.
