Social Science is an integral part of any society. For the student of agriculture. it is equally important to have the knowledge of social science discipline. Various farm problems are directly or indirectly linked with the social science. Social Science may be defined as the study of human society and of the relationship of individual members within society. Social sciences are of various types as 1. Economics: is the study of wealth getting and wealth using activities of human 2. Political Science: is the study of the stare, government, and politics. 3. Sociology: is the scientific study of human social behaviour. 4. Psychology: deals with the behavioural processes within a person. It is also known as the science of self. 5. History: is the study of past events, particularly in human affairs. 6. Anthropology: The comparative study of human-kind, which includes the study of human societies, cultures and their development. Anthropology is partly a biological science and partly a social science.
