The author deals with every aspect of the communication field, each topic, right from the basics is covered in every chapter. The book deals with the basics, characterizations of signals and systems, transmission of information over the channels of communication, and then problems in the communications field, like noise and static. Each chapter has an introduction, information on the subject, and ends with a set of problems for the student to solve and practise. Some of the topics in the book are Fourier Analysis, Signal Distortion and Filtering,  Spectral Density and Correlation, Modulation of Frequency techniques, Optimum Receivers for better communication, Noise & Static in Analog systems, and Probability Theory & Random Processes.
