The book “An Introduction to Comparative Government and Politics” highlights several basic subject matters of comparative politics. This book is basically written to provide a brief idea about comparative government and politics that would surely help learners in gaining the basic knowledge about the area. It is printed as per the UGC prescribed syllabus and specially followed by Assam University as well as Bodoland University , Assam for Under Graduate Political Science (Major) students. It may too further help the other aspirants for qualifying NTA NET, State Public Service Commission etc. So this book would help readers to boost up their basic idea and can help them in acquirin some more understanding in the subject.Jesmine Ahmed is currently teaching in the Department of Political Science, Assam University , Diphu Campus as a Guest Faculty . She is pursuing her Ph.D. in the same department. A former alumna of Cotton College, she has completed her M.A. from Gauhati University . She has qualified UGC NET and has done her M.Phil from Assam University . Also have more than two years teaching experience at Post Graduate and Under Graduate level. She has published several articles on North-East India, comparative politics geopolitics, foreign policy etc. Her area of Interest are Geopolitics and International Relations.
