In 'An Introduction to Physical Chemistry', authors have included the essential elements of physical chemistry, paying due attention to the presentation of materials. It also includes some chapters of thrust and frontier areas viz. Reaction Dynamics, Oscillatory Chemical Reactions, Fast Reaction Kinetics, Polymer Chemistry including Conductive Polymers and Statistical Thermodynamics. Earlier editions and reprints were useful and accepted well by the students and teachers. This third and revised edition includes several new materials and all chapters have been revised to clarify the subject matter. Glossary, exercises and latest examination questions are given at the end of chapters to provide practice in the subject. With its systematic and simple presentation, it will be an excellent textbook for B.Sc Third Year students. It may also be used as a reference book for postgraduate students.
