Preface: Tuberculosis, an infectious disease, is the major cause of mortality worldwide. Oral tuberculosis is frequently misdiagnosedor completely neglected by physicians and dentists due to lack of knowledge and awareness about this rare condition. This is because of unavailability of a single platform which describes all the facts about oral tuberculosis. A need was felt to provide a first of its kind comprehensive book that encompasses all facets of this lesion to practitioners and students in various universities/hospitals. Thus, this book presents about the etiology, immuno pathogenesis, disease manifestation, diagnosis, reporting and treatment of oral tuberculosis.--- The book “Oral Tuberculosis – An Overview for Physicians and Dentists” has been written to enlighten the target audience and render complete knowledge so as to arrive at early diagnosis and facilitate accurate treatment to the patients. The layout of this book is such that the reader is introduced to all aspects of this subject in a logical and systematic manner.
