Summary Of The Book Anna And The French Kiss starts off with Anna being excited about her senior year in Atlanta. She’s got everything set, from having a car of her own, a good job, her best friend, and her crush. Anna is disturbed when her father decides that she needs to experience culture. He then enrolls her at an American school, located in Paris. The problem here is that Anna doesn’t understand French, making her wonder how she’ll pull through the first year at school. Despite her being sad about the change of plans, Anna finds herself a bit excited about her stay in Paris. Anne starts feeling homesick and alone, after landing in Paris. She then mingles with Meredith’s groups of friends, which include Etienne St. Clair, Josh, and his girlfriend. Etienne is the ladies’ man, having everything that makes men attractive. He possesses a British accent, while being fluent in French. He also knows a great deal about American culture. Apart from having looks in his favor, St. Clair is kind and funny, which makes Anna change her outlook towards staying in Paris. Anna soon gets to know that St. Clair has already got a girlfriend. While developing a fancy for St. Clair, Anna remembers her crush back home, but convinces herself that she doesn’t like him that much. For the time being, Anna and St. Clair become friends, with St. Clair showing Anna some of Paris’ favorite spots. With the two spending a great deal of time together, does that spell curtains for St. Clair’s relationship? What about Anna’s crush back home? Read this book to find out.
