She studied Economics at Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi, and completed her post-graduation from the Institute of Rural Management at Anand. She was working as a consultant in the field of rural development. Manjul is currently based out of Gurgaon, where she stays with her husband, two sons and a dog. She has also authored Come, Before Evening Falls.
