A 24V solenoid valve consists of two main parts: the solenoid and the valve body. Solenoid coil: A coil of insulated copper wire. When a 24V current passes through it, an electromagnetic field is generated.Plunger/armature: A metallic, movable plunger is placed within the coil. The magnetic field pulls or pushes this plunger to actuate the valve.Valve body: Contains the inlet and outlet ports. The plunger's movement controls the position of a seal to open or close the fluid path.Spring: In normally closed (NC) models, a spring holds the plunger in the closed position when the power is off. When the coil is energized, the magnetic force overcomes the spring force to open the valve. In normally open (NO) models, the operation is reversed.
