Dr. Norvig obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He has also written Paradigms of AI Programming: Case Studies in Common Lisp, Verbmobil: A Translation System for Face-to-Face Dialog, and Intelligent Help Systems for UNIX. Stuart Russell is an English computer scientist known best for his contributions towards the field of artificial intelligence. A graduate of Wadham College, Oxford, he obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University and is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Russell was the co-winner of the IJCAI Computers and Thought Award and in 2012 was was appointed to the Blaise Pascal Chair in Paris for his contributions to science.
