Today both writers and readers are excited about Sanskrit literature. The reactions received from the society appear to be somewhat positive. The Kargil war had just ended and poets wrote words and pictures on it through many compositions. Plane hijacking, India-Pakistan talks, earthquake, change of power and various scenarios peeping through the mirror of politics are quickly being captured in Sanskrit literature. The addition of human sensitivities to the progressiveness of this language is proving to be a milestone in its continuous journey. Now we are not alone. All the social problems, experiences and consciousness of the common class are getting connected with this literature. Now for Sanskrit readers, there is an option to read satires, criticisms, humor pieces as well as read news and current stories in Sanskrit. In this series, a national seminar was organized on the topic \"Condition and Direction of Modern Sanskrit Literature\" on 7-8 October 2002 at St. John\'s College, Agra, the objective of which was to introduce the new topics collected in Sanskrit literature.
