Tomato seeds are essential for growing tomato plants. If you’re starting seeds indoors, plant them in seed-starting mix about 1/4 inch deep and keep them warm (70-80°F or 21-27°C). They need plenty of light or a grow light to thrive. Once seedlings develop a few sets of true leaves and the risk of frost has passed, you can transplant them outdoors or into larger containers. Make sure to harden off the seedlings before moving them outside to acclimate them to outdoor conditions.
