In Asterix The Legionary, Asterix and Obelix decide to join the Roman Legion to find and return the beautiful Panacea’s lover, Tragicomix. Summary of the Book When news reaches Panacea that her fiance, Tragicomix, has been drafted into the Roman Legion and sent to North Africa, it nearly breaks her heart. She asks Asterix and Obelix to help get Tragicomix back. To do so, the duo will have to join the Legion. However, no one willingly joins the Roman Legion! Asterix and Obelix punch and politely maneuver their way into Caesar’s army and ship themselves to North Africa. Once there, they discover that Tragicomix is in bigger trouble than they had originally thought.
