Dr. Kirpal Singh has taught at Panjab University’s department of chemical engineering as a lecturer and as an Assistant Professor at Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh. He has also worked as a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at PEC and as Principal and Director of numerous listed engineering colleges. He did his Ph.d in Engineering from Panjab University in the year 1965. Dr. Kirpal Singh obtained his B.Sc. in 1964 in mechanical engineering and his Engineering M.Sc. in the year 1967. His Ph.d thesis covered the changes in properties of metals under fatigue. He also possesses an Advanced Diploma in German and a Certificate in Elementary Technical Translation in Russian.
