This revised edition of awareness Environmental Studies is based on the new NCERT syllabus. As recommended by the syllabus, it integrates elements of both science and social studies. Carefully selected full colored photographs have been used to create interest by giving children a Tate of the 'real thing'. The internet has been used to open out the world of knowledge to children. The site addresses provided in each chapter can be used by children to learn more about whatever arouses their curiosity, at their own pace. The focus of this textbook has been widely appreciated by students and teachers, and has been retained.
