Muscular paralysis without impairing sensation and consciousness. Threatened paralysis of respiration on falling asleep. Short breath. A short dry cough; provokes vomiting, followed by fainting. Vomiting of bile in cirrhosis of the liver. Diabetes mellitus. Tired pain up and down the spine. Arms weak, heavy. Cannot lift the fingers.
