Hydrastis has marked action on the mucus membranes, relaxing them, causing catarrhal process and producing a thick, yellowish, ropy mucus with a tendency to haemorrhage and ulceration. Useful in cancerous state with pain, before ulceration. It also removes the tendency to habitual adherent placenta.
