This remedy is indicated in diarrhoea, when the stools are yellow or brown, frothy and profuse. It is attended with tympanitic distension of the abdomen, globus hystericus but there is no flatus passed either up or down. It is of service in seborrhoea when the skin is greasy; also in pemphigus without inflammation or pain. Abdomen tympanitic, hard. No flatus emitted upward or downward. Produces pain and stitches in liver and spleen. Increases the bile and salivary secretion. Post-operative gas pains.
