Structural Spacer Tape is a semi-rigid foam tape with an aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive. This high density tape has a specially formulated cellular substrate, and is used as a spacer for joint dimension control in structural silicone glazing systems. It is the most widely used spacer tape for structural silicone systems. The tape has proven to be compatible with all commercial silicone sealants used for structural glazing. It has a highly aggressive adhesive on both sides, and a semi-rigid, open cell structure that maintains the required spacing, and allows air and moisture to reach the silicone to allow optimum curing. Its low conductivity reduces heat transfer and inhibits condensation on windows, doors and metal systems.
