Some books authored by Nag are Engineering Thermodynamics 4th Edition, Power Plant Engineering 3rd Edition, Heat and Mass Transfer 3rd Edition, and Engineering Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics 2nd Edition. He has also published more than 150 papers in national and international journals. The author has also presented papers in conferences in Japan, Canada, USA, and Bangladesh. He was associated with IIT-Kharagpur for four decades. After his retirement, he became an AICTE Emeritus fellow, and was stationed with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Nag’s research interests lie in the analysis of thermal systems, circulating fluidized bed boilers, waste heat recovery, and combined cycle power generation. He was awarded the President of India Medal in 1995.
