Bioinformatics is a computer based discipline which deals with the acquisition, storage, management, acess and processing of data of molecular biosciences, and started with the networking of computers and arrumulation of data on genes and proteins in biotechnology. It has achieved significant role with the availability of new DNA sequencing protocosl and the presence of high memory desktop computers that help in storing and analyzing the data sequences. Dr. Khan the director of nawab Shah Alam Khan Centre for post graduate studies and Research, Anwarul Uloom College campus, Mallepally, Hyderabad. Dr. Atiya Khanum obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.d. in Botany from the Osmania University, Hyderabad, Dr. Khanum has worked on the ecology of two lakes of Hyderabad with special reference to Planktonic and matforming algal communiteis.
