Bitcoin’s a type of money, but instead of being backed by a government like the US Dollar or Yen, it’s back one of the most secure networks man has ever created. An entrepreneur paid $500,000 to two security teams to break the code and they told him it was basically unhackable. In it’s 8 years of existence, it’s doubled in value roughly 18 times. Most people buy it as an investment, but it seems to have potential to make transactions smarter, cheaper and more secure. But it’s a bit weird, so you should probably read more into why it’s different. So many in this book will explore the aspect of bitcoin.
