An anthology graphic novel, Batman: Haunted Knight brings together three of the Dark Knight's most macabre stories. Summary of the Book The Batman knows no fear. He is fear itself. However, when trying to capture the Scarecrow, he is trapped in the mad doctor's large, poisonous, thorn maze and his inner demons come alive, nearly killing him. Can even the Caped Crusader get out of this alive? In another story, the Mad Hatter kidnaps Barbera Gordon, Commissioner Gordon's daughter, and he forces her to relive Alice in Wonderland. If Batman cannot rescue Barbera, she will suffer a fate worse than death. In the final tale, Bruce Wayne relives the horrors which once shook Ebenezer Scrooge's very wits in a Batman version of A Christmas Carol. The Dark Knight is the manifestation of fear and the dark, but if he does not ensure a line between sanity and his vendetta, then he will break himself, allowing Gotham to fall to the horrors of the scores of his enemies.
