Apart from writing this book, he also contributed to the Manusmriti. Maharshi Bhrigu was responsible for astrological functions. He was known as Manasaputra and he belonged to the Vedic period. The sage spent several years as a hermit near Dhosi Hill. He was married to the daughter of Daksha and had two sons, Vidhata and Dhata.
