He was born in New York. He went on to study at MIT and Harvard Medical School. He is the co-founder of the International Space University that offers students Master’s degrees in space studies. He also set up the X PRIZE Foundation to fund a competition for ideas on spaceships for private passengers. Diamandis was given the Neil Armstrong Award and Arthur C. Clarke Award among other honours. Steven Kotler is an entrepreneur and noted writer. He has written for several reputed journals and magazines, including National Geographic Adventure, The New York Times Magazine, GQ, Outside, Discover, and LA Times. He and his wife have co-founded the Rancho de Chihuahua dog sanctuary.
