Learning Objectives The objective of this course is to strengthen the pre-requisite knowledge required for analytical chemistry in semester-I. Students’ will: (a.) Understand the purpose and method of arrangement of elements in the periodic table of elements. (b.) Able to compute molecular weights (c.) Gain an understanding of mole-concept. (d.) Understand the procedure of calculation of number of moles. (e.) Learn the steps involved in balancing a chemical equation. (f.) Understand acid-base reactions. (g.) Gain knowledge about the concept of molarity/normality and solve associated numerical problems.
