About Helen Fielding Helen Fielding is an English novelist and screenwriter. She was born in Yorkshire, England. She worked for a newspaper and as a TV journalist traveling extensively for her job to Africa, Central America and India. She has authored novels like Cause Celeb, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination. She also co-wrote the screenplays for the movies Bridget Jones’s Diary and The Edge of Reason.
