Kochia, also known as burning bush or summer cypress, is an annual herbaceous plant native to Eurasia. It is characterized by its upright growth habit, reaching heights of up to 6 feet (1.8 meters), and its bushy, dense foliage. During the growing season, kochia leaves are initially green but turn a striking red or crimson color in late summer and fall, giving the plant a fiery appearance hence the name "burning bush."
