"Building Construction-I" is meant for Architecture students. This book has been prepared according to new syllabus developed by National Technical Teachers Training Institute and Research Centre, Chandigarh and various other states. I have always felt that most of the available text books on Building Construction-I take up the subject in round about and confusing way. In this book I have tried to explain every topic in a direct manner avoiding unnecessary explanations. It is tried to indicate the same in presenting the subject matter. Articles have been given in a logic sequence with sketches. No efforts have been left in making the student understand the various steps involved in the theory. Information has liberally been drawn from connected ISI codes which have been referred .The author gratefully acknowledge the same.
