Published in the year 2002, The Captain Underpants Extra Crunchy Book O’Fun 2 With Sticker is a book that provides the readers with a thorough laugh riot, as it covers the adventures of George, Harold, and their hypnotized superhero principal. Summary Of The Book The Captain Underpants Extra Crunchy Book O’Fun 2 With Sticker revolves around two fourth-graders, Harold Hutchins and George Beard, who study at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School. The two are best friends, and mobilize a comic book company called Treehouse Comix Inc. Their principal, Benny Krupp hates them. However, the two manage to hypnotize him, which makes Krupp think that he’s a superhero. He then begins to fight crime, while wearing just his underpants and a red cape. This event leads to many more exciting exploits through the course of this book. Three other important characters include Melvin Sneedly, Crackers, and Sulu. Some villains include the Lunchroom Zombie Nerds of the Zombie juice, Professor Pippy Pee-Pee Poopypants, Dr. Diaper, Dr. Diaper’s Evil Robots, The Dandelion of Doom, and Zorx, Klax and Jennifer. The Captain Underpants Extra Crunchy Book O’Fun 2 With Sticker comes packed with a number of interactive activities, including riddles, puzzles, and crosswords. It also comes with a comic strip, The Night of the Terror of the Revenge of the Curse of the Bride of Hairy Potty, which is 56 pages long, and features Captain Underpants, Diaper Dog, and Super Diaper Baby. The readers are also taught about drawing their favorite characters, cracking cheesy jokes, and even putting together their own Captain Underpants story. In 2011, Dreamworks acquired the right to release movies based on the Captain Underpants series. This book also won the author the Disney Adventures Kids’ Choice Awards. About Dav Pilkey Dav Pilkey is a well-known author and illustrator. Apart from this book, Pilkey has written Captain Underpants And The Big, Bad Battle Of The Bionic Booger Boy, Part 1: The Night Of The Nasty Nostril Nuggets, The Adventures Of Ook And Gluk: Kung-Fu Cavemen From The Future, and The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby. Pilkey was born on the 4th of March, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio. In the year 1987, he published his first book, World War Won, for which he won a national competition for student authors in his age group. He has been presented with a number of awards for his literary works, and some of them include the Caldecott Honor Award, Disney Adventures Kids’ Choice Awards, and the California Young Reader Medal. Pilkey has written few books under the pen names, Harold Hutchins and George Beard. He currently resides in Seattle, Washington, along with his spouse, Sayuri.
