About T. KiyosakiRobert Toru dons many caps as an American businessman, self-help author, investor and financial activist, motivational speaker and financial commentator. He has authored over a 15 self help books all under the umbrella of the Rich Dad brand. Of these, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant and Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing went on to top bestseller lists across Wall Street Journal, USA Today and New York Times.Kiyosaki was raised in Hilo, Hawaii. He enrolled in the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1969 after graduating from high school, and he served as a helicopter gunship pilot in the Vietnam war and was awarded the Air Medal for his contribution. In 1977, he started his own company which eventually went bankrupt. After a slew of successful real estate investments he launched Cashflow Technologies Inc. which undertook the operations across his Rich Dad and Cashflow brands.The Rich Dad brand went on to sell over 26 million copies of the Rich Dad Poor Dad series of books that Kiyosaki authored. He retired at the age of 47 and lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Kim.
