The Pre-Engineering Test (PET) is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur for selecting suitable candidates to be admitted to various B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) courses in engineering colleges declared autonomous by the State, the Govt-aided engineering colleges, self-financing autonomous colleges and all private engineering colleges in the state of Chhattisgarh.The present success package for Chhattisgarh PET 2017 has been divided into three sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each sub-divided into a number of chapters as per the syllabi of the entrance examination. The Physics section covers Vectors, Kinematics, Gravitation, Elasticity, Surface Tension, Oscillations, Mechanical Waves, Wave Optics, Electrostatics, Magnetostatics, Semiconductor Devices, Ray Optics, etc whereas the Chemistry section covers the Solid State, Chemical Bonding, Equilibrium, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Polymers, Biomolecules, Stereochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Redox Reactions, etc. The Mathematics section in the book covers Complex Numbers, Probability, Conic Section, Functions, Application of Derivatives, Indefinite Integration, Linear Programming, Circles & Family of Circles, Binomial Theorem, Matrices & Determinants, etc. Each chapter in the book contains an ample number of solved problems which have been designed on the lines of questions asked in previous years’ Chhattisgarh PET. Also, practice exercises containing questions designed on the lines of questions asked in the previous years’ Chhattisgarh PET have been provided at the end of each chapter. The book also contains last nine years’ (2008-2016) CG PET Solved Papers to help aspirants get an insight into the examination pattern and the types of questions asked therein.As the book contains study material as well as practice material, it for sure will act as a perfect study package for the upcoming Chhattisgarh PET 2017.
