Summary of the Book In her desperation to beat her boredom, Alice lies down on a riverbank, watching her sister sit still. However, she soon falls asleep and begins to dream of a White Rabbit. The most curious fact about the Rabbit is that it is wearing clothes and carrying a pocket watch. The Rabbit can also talk! Curious, Alice follows the Rabbit down a hole and falls a long way. She lands in a room with multiple doors of different sizes. Beyond those doors, she finds that she’s discovered a wonderful land, one that couldn’t possibly be real! This is a land where a Mad Hatter arranges tea parties and the Cheshire Cat grins as though it alone knows some mysterious joke. These novels are two of Lewis Carroll’s most famous works and they have influenced children throughout the years. This book presents an abridged retelling of both these classic titles.
