Published in the year 2009, Cloud Computing For Dummies is a book that provides the readers with insights into the field of cloud computing, and debunks common myths about this technology as well. In simple terms, this technology enables users to run a program on several computers that are connected to one another, at the same time. Most people often get overwhelmed with the intricacies of this technology, however, Cloud Computing For Dummies is set to debunk some of the common myths in cloud computing, making it easier for newbies to get a strong grounding in this subject. The authors explain that cloud computing is a means by which data can be stored on the internet, along with virtual services that help in saving money for the organization. This book also deals with aspects pertaining to security, and from the utility computing standpoint. The readers are also guided into making use of cloud computing in their own organization. Hurwitz is currently the CEO and President of a firm called Hurwitz & Associates, specializing in emerging technologies. Robin Bloor is an author and tech expert. Bloor has written The Electronic B@zaar. Bloor is the founder of Bloor Research, which is an IT firm based in the UK. Marcia Kaufman is an author and has more than 20 years’ experience in business strategy, industry research in business technology, and analytics. Kaufman has specialized in the arena of SOA and cloud computing for several years, and is one of the founding partners of Hurwitz & Associates. Dr. Fern Halper is an author and educator.
