"Lalit guava is a high-yielding hybrid variety developed by CISH, Lucknow. It produces medium to large, round fruits with attractive red skin and soft, pinkish pulp. The fruits are sweet, juicy, and aromatic, ideal for fresh consumption and processing. Lalit guava has good shelf life and disease resistance, making it suitable for commercial cultivation. It grows well in tropical to subtropical climates and starts fruiting within 2–3 years of planting.
